After all my lessons had finished today I stayed behind in Media to continue the editing which we started this morning. Once all the shots we decided to use were on the timeline (including the 6 base tracks of myself as the artist), I added markers (shown in red) to the timeline in time with the track on the first beat of every bar.
After all the markers had been inserted, I sliced all of the clips on the timeline in time with each marker to make it easy to cut between shots (by deleting sections of the clip) in time with the track.
The editing process is very different to last year, as there are a lot more shots and the pace of cuts is much faster. We decided to use 6 shots of the artist (played by myself) and we also have around 40 shots of the character in the narrative (Julien).
I am happy with the progress made so far (in just one day of editing), and think we are on track to meet the final deadline next Friday...
